New Crew and Fridtjof Nansen's Halvoe
On the morning of July 23rd, we left Kuummiut pointing south, out Angmagssalik fjord. While we are moving, our new crewmembers are making their way to Kulusuk by plane.
Mari and Vegar flew in on the 23rd, while Stig and Per Morten came a day later. They were all very excited to take part in this trip.
We found a nice bay to anchor, just 2km from the airport. This was also the first time we came across another sailboat, while on Greenland.
After everyone was back onboard, we set sail. Our plan was to sail outside the icebelt 120nm south to Fridtjof Nansen’s Halvoe. This was the furthest south we would go on Greenland, and we would work our way north from there.
After a rocky sail down the coast, which made for bit troubling first night for the new crew, we could see our destination ahead with the famous Greenland Icecap in the background
We're all very exited and have some cool stuff planed for the next few days
